Gas transportation system from Algeria to Italy is organized as follows:

• Algerian pipeline: it links Algerian desert's production wells to Oued Safsaf's measurement station at Tunisian's border
• Tunisian pipeline: it links Feriana's gas compression station right after the Algerian border all the way to Cap Bon's gas compression station on the Mediterranean sea
• "sea-line" pipeline through the Straits of Sicily: under water pipe (property of TMPC Ltd.) linking the Tunisian and the Italian coasts
• Italian pipeline: it is part of Snam Rete Gas's main pipeline network

Following the expansion project on the Algerian and Tunisian parts of the pipeline network, the whole transportation capacity has been subsequently fully committed to a team of operators through long-term contracts.
